Howenstine HS in Tucson, AZ (10 miles from Campus)
Finally a guard to replace the graduating Dam, Romano,
Clemens, and Moore. Floyd comes in with similar
red flags and concerns that I had with Steven Chapman, wherein his athleticism
and defense aren’t as high at the moment as I would like. Luckily both have
high potential (as does his perimeter game) so that’s a big perk. William and Steven are my top two targets as
we gear up for the offseason and I need to try and get lucky with my final two
scholarships and steal a guy or two from one of my neighbor universities.
William will likely be the target of a redshirt his freshman
year to help boost those athleticism, defense, and perimeter ratings. He is a guy whom could end up being a
75/85/80/80/80/80 (Ath, Spd, Def, Per, BH, Pass) and that is more than
serviceable for a national tournament team.
He could end up being a starting SG for us somewhere down the line.
Fun Fact about William, his childhood favorite school was
our very own Arizona State. That will provide a small, but present boost during
our eventual recruiting of him.
